We are an inspection driven registry designed to record, promote and preserve the bloodlines that go into creating an LP spotted equine athlete that is able to compete with warmbloods and other breeds in the Olympic disciplines.
It has been a struggle to find the right Registry for our Spotted Sporthorses - a Registry where they are embraced for their color and type rather than a specific breed cross. Historically it was impossible to cross an ApHC registered horse with a Knabstrupper or Warmblood, even though the result of that cross would meet or exceed the requirements set forth by the parent registries. This Registry is designed to skillfully evaluate, accept and welcome LP/LP and LP/lp colored Sporthorses from those outcrosses that have been rejected in the past.
For more information regarding the Leopard Complex (LP) gene and its effect on coat patterns, please refer to the Appaloosa Project
A key component to our registry is the ability to create a demand in the equine market for these unique athletes. Through registration, careful inspection processes, marketing, education, awards and sponsorships we hope to raise both awareness and value to the horses in our registry.

It is our hope that this Registry will unite our new members and their colored athletes to show the world that we can hold our own in any discipline.
